ABC13 in Houston, Texas reported a massive multi-vehicle collision on Monday, June 1. Few details are currently available regarding the accident, but the media reported massive delays for Monday morning commuters in Houston.
The accident occurred sometime before 7 a.m. on Monday morning. Five to six cars collided on the West Loop of I-160 at Bissonnet. As a result of the pile-up, all northbound lanes were soon closed.
Traffic was stalled nearly to the I-610 South Loop later in the morning. Drivers were forced to exit approaching Bellaire and reroute from there. The wreckage was cleared from the roadway by 6:45 a.m., but ABC13 reports delays continued into the morning as traffic slowly returned to normal. It is not clear whether anyone was injured in the accident.
