A Harris County Constable’s Office Precinct 5 deputy constable was admitted to the hospital on Friday, August 24th, after being involved in a wreck with an SUV in Northwest Harris County. The deputy was headed west on Louetta in his personal car on his way to work. The driver of the SUV was headed north on Kuykendahl.
A suspected cause of the crash is that one of the drivers took a red light. The woman may have also been under the influence, as traces of marijuana were found inside her vehicle.
After slipping in and out of consciousness, the deputy was transported by an ambulance to a local hospital. The deputy did suffer injuries but is expected to survive. The other driver was treated by paramedics on-site but did not suffer any injuries.
